Rihanna’s new make-up range doesn’t disappoint
RiRi’s achievements have meant not only will we never look at umbrellas in the same way again, but also we can’t imagine fluffy slider sandals not being part of our sporty-casual summer wardrobe. She even teamed up with Prince Harry recently to mark World Aids Day, with the two undergoing an HIV test in her native Barbados. And if that weren’t enough, the “Disturbia” hit-maker has now turned her talents to beauty, with her debut make-up range ‘Fenty Beauty’ that launched at the weekend. Here’s the lowdown…
There’s a whopping 40 foundation shades to choose from
Rihanna was inspired to create the range “so that women everywhere would be included,” with shades and formulas to work across all skin types and tones. Hence the creation of Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (£26), in the aforementioned 40 shades, it delivers medium coverage, with a clever sweat-proof formula thanks to the climate-adaptive technology (so you can take it on holiday or to the gym without worrying about it sweating off!).
All the packaging clicks together
Products like the Match Stix Matte Skinsticks (£21 each) – a handy concealer, contour, and highlighter in one, together with the Shimmer Sticks (£21 each) – a blusher-slash-highlighter, have nifty magnetic packaging that interconnects. So no more having to spend ages rooting around in your handbag for the right product – you can lift out your entire make-up kit in one go!
You can spot a few famous faces in the campaign
Some of our favourite models Leomie Anderson, Slick Woods (who you should be following on Instagram btw), Duckie Thot, Selena Forrest and Halima Aden can be seen gracing the Fenty Beauty website and campaign imagery, showcasing the range of foundation shades on offer.
It includes one of the most desirable lip-glosses we’ve ever encountered
We’re not kidding – the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer (£16) comes in a single universal hue of rose nude (that looks good on everyone), delivering an ultra-glossy, non-sticky texture to give the wearer a camera-ready pout à la Riri. We’ll be packing one of these in our clutch bags come party season.
There are some Insta-worthy brushes included too
Including a Cheek Hugging Highlight Brush (£24) in a pretty rose pink that is literally shaped to mould to your cheekbones, as well as a handy Portable Touch Up Brush (£19) with lid, so it can be easily thrown in a handbag.
