Music, makeup and must-haves
with pint sized presenter, Nadia Jae

Time constraints meant I haven’t had the chance to book a break. But when I was asked to blog this swimwear brand I doubled it up as my holiday! I can’t tell you how much I am in love with this swimsuit by Double R Beachwear. Fittingly named ‘The Goddess’ I really got my Naomi Campbell on. It comes in black and white and also has a white trail attached, so you can really get into glam mode on the beach. The chunky choker body chain I’m wearing is from bespoke jewellery brand Treasure Boutique – it’s the perfect summer must have. I’m also accessorizing with the Red Stone Baroque earrings, and below the Silver Mirror Arrowhead earrings, both available from Treasure Boutique. You can get a pair as well as necklaces and sunglasses from or by emailing

I was actually dreading this part of the blog! I have been so negligent with my hair of recent and I have no excuse! I have some amazing products from ORS that I am currently using, as I am in process of leaving my hair out again. However, the lace fronts are still my go-to, so I am thinking to spend a little more and have a customised Virgin Remi Wig, like this one from Sensationnel Bare & Natural. My product of the month is ORS black seed oil. It’s nourishing my scalp and it’s great for deprived hair, as mine has been under the lace front for a few months now so it needs a bit of TLC.

I’ve been really spoilt with goodies this month! I had the pleasure of hosting networking event Hustle and Heels and was supplied with amazing goodies from my sponsors ORS, and I also received some lippys from Nizz Cosmetics. I’m feeling like a cosmetic queen right now (Mumma I made it!) Anyway, I am in love with Nizz’s Cranberry Red Matte lipstick and it seems like the rest of the world is too, it’s sold out! Nizz is a vegetarian lipstick made with fair trade butter, oils and waxes which makes it feel really rich on application. On a night out, you only have to top up once and guess what? No lines!! The lipstick line is the most annoying thing in life, so Nizz gets a big thumbs up from me.

I also attended Africa Fashion Week on behalf of press for BANG radio. The clothes, the food, the vibe and the show was awesome! I loved wearing some traditional African prints, showing off my West African roots. My mum was so happy when I asked her for a few pieces to wear, she had all her prints ready! I really enjoyed the Soraya Da Piedade and the Vanelse was my favourite. Next to the chocolate men in swimsuits that is.

Well, Drake and Meek had a very public music beef which was nothing short of entertaining! OVO fest, ‘Back To Back’ and 10,000 Meek Mill meme’s later, Drake wins. The end. Epic music moment of the month has to be Dr Dre dropping his first album in 16 years, ‘Compton’. The soundtrack to the biopic ‘Straight Outta Compton’ is an absolute tribute to contemporary hip hop. If you haven’t heard it, go and do so, yesterday. If you have, listen to it again! Staying stateside, Fetty Wap has become the first artist to have 4 singles in the Billboard’s top 10 hot rap songs. Things are definitely going his way!

UK music is popping as usual with new tracks in my rotation from Abel Miller ‘Angel Blues’ ft JSpades, new signed group Western with the popular ‘In2’ and I am loving Lethal B ft Shakka ‘Playground’. Bonkaz never fails to deliver with his EP ‘Forgive Me When I’m Famous’. I’m loving Lady Leshurr she has been exciting us all with her ‘Queens Speech’ project, this girls talent is undeniable! Also flying the flag for the girls is Little Simz. I am enjoying with her new track ‘Wingz’ make sure you take a listen, it is such a vibe.

I am no longer a weekday girl on radio! I’ve changed slots and now taking over your Saturdays. The Nadia Jae Show is everything you need on a Saturday morning, with a dash of old school too! Make sure you tune in from 10am until 1pm on BANG Radio 103.6FM for all my music updates and Nadia Jae’s Juice!

Until our next Spell!
