NeoStrata Smooth Surface Daily Peel: A game changer in skincare

face time baner inside

Rarely does one single product address all your skincare needs. Until now.

It’s not often that I use my column to wax lyrical about just one product, but there’s a first time for everything. In the spirit of giving credit where it’s due NeoStrata Smooth Surface Daily Peel £50, deserve a bucket load of praise. As much as I like my everyday affordable skincare brands, I’m also a big fan of cosmeceutical products. Despite the fact that they usually cost a pretty penny, I believe every so often you need a product that makes a big impression.

With the advent of winter, my skin has been feeling and looking worse for wear. Two bouts of flu and a hectic work and family schedule have not helped either, so when these daily peels landed on my desk promising to deliver the earth and then some, I was more than happy to give it a go.

It’s worked a treat and addressed all my skin problems in one fell swoop over the course of a few nights. I do have to say that this treatment works best on oiler, breakout prone, patchy or hyperpigmented skin types best, so it suited me down to a tee. It would also work for a darker skin tones as they have the knack of suffering from hyperpigmentation. Sensitive skin types should steer clear due to the active glycolic acid content.

This peel gets straight to work on rough texture, dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles to reveal smoother, plumper, brighter and more even toned skin. Once the active solution is poured into the tub of pads, it’s ready for use and one nightly pad is sufficient. Simply wipe over clean skin and continue with the rest of your skincare, there is no need to rinse. There’s a month supply in one pack, but even after a week’s use, the intensive treatment has been enough to turbo charge my skin.

The peel’s strength is a result of its genius combination of two ground breaking ingredients – Aminofil, a new kid on the skincare block, which delivers collagen and hyaluronic acid to the deeper layers of the skin to boost volume and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Glycolic acid is the second ingredient, which exfoliates (for smoother skin), hastens cell turnover (for brighter skin), refines texture (for clearer skin) and improves elasticity (plumps skin). In tandem, your skin is taken to a whole new level where it is stronger, revitalised and more resilient. A skincare product that visibly addresses multiple skin complaints at the same time? It’s worth every penny.

Dija’s top tip: It is important to apply sunscreen every day, but even more vital when you use a peel of any kind.
