As Black Friday approaches, I wanted to share the products I genuinely use and love from Spell Beauty. I’ve pulled together the things that are really part of my routine, the styles that save me from bad hair days to the underrated products you need to have on your roster too.
Urban Crimp, from £3.99
Want human hair boho braids without paying human hair prices? Look to Urban.
This hair is SO underrated! The synthetic bulk hair comes in over 10 textures from soft bouncy waves to coiled crimps. Take it from me, the longer you wear the hair, the better it looks! It will need maintenance so make sure you stock up on moisturising curl creams and foam mousse.

Feme Wig Smooth Press Out, from £30.99
Synthetic wigs have come along way. The premium fibre gives it a good life span (lasting several months with care), and the colour choices are totally salon-worthy. For lazy days aka when you don’t want to braid your hair down flat, opt for a hat to hide bumps. #girlmaths

X-pression Pre-Stretched 2 x 46”, from £4.15
These days I like to use a trusted pack of X-pression for ponytails, jumbo braids or designer canerows. Pre-Stretch requires minimal prep time and has tapered ends which is helpful in controlling the volume and desired root-to-tip thickness. Available in over 30 colours but I had to keep it classic 😉

Ruwa 3x Pre-Stretched Braid, from £4.49
For single braids, Ruwa is my absolute go-to. The hydrophobic coating means the hair fibre naturally repels water and moisture giving you a faster drying time. Every stylist I’ve taken the hair to has fallen in love with the soft texture and ease of use. No knots, shedding or tugging. Great for holidays, gym-life, swimming and those with an all-round active lifestyle.

Big Beautiful Hair, from £19.99
4C curly clip-ins that truly match the texture of your natural hair are hard to find. So when I saw Big Beautiful Hair had a blonde colour blend I made sure to stock up. That said, on pack will fill a whole head, and because the hair is synthetic it is recommended to remove the clip-ins every night.
