There’s no such thing as a typical day for Lisa Farrall, creative director of WIG London and stylist to the stars…
6.30AM
The alarm on my iPhone goes off; when it’s shoot day, there’s no time to hit snooze!
7.30AM
By this time I’ll be in a cab on my way to the shoot’s location. This time round I’m in London for Kendrick Lamar’s video All The Stars featuring Sza, while I was flown over to LA the day before.

8.30AM
I arrive on set and meet with the creative director. If there’s time we’ll grab breakfast from the food truck on site and discuss ideas.
9AM
Every music video is different – I could be starting at 4am, 5am or 10am. The models start to arrive first and I will go through my agenda for each one with the stylist and make-up artist.
10AM
Model prepping has officially begun… this is the calm before the storm.

11AM
The artist will arrive and it’s always important that they’re looking and feeling great. I’m always on standby when they’re shooting because the director can call “hair” at any minute and I’ll have to do a touch up.
2PM
Lunchtime still requires work because I have to make sure the models are ready for the second half of the day.
3PM
We continue shooting scenes throughout the day.
One day I’m working with top recording artists, the next day I’m in the salon teaching colour
6PM
If we’re lucky everything is wrapped up. In the past shoots have ran till 6am. I jump in a cab and use this time to respond to emails. I don’t go anywhere without my MAC Book Pro.
7.30PM
I arrive home shower and make dinner. I love to cook but if I’m feeling lazy I’ll order a vegan meal on Deliveroo.

9.30PM
I like to meditate before bedtime; it’s a way for me to collect my thoughts and get ready for the next day.
10PM
I put all my styling essentials that I’ll need in my carrier so I’m prepared for the following day of shooting or teaching in the academy.
11PM
Hit the hay!
