Masika Kalysha, star of hit reality TV series “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood”, and CEO of Khari Barbie Beauty (KBB), the all vegan, no nasties cosmetics line. We caught up with her to find out more…
Tell us about your new range?
We mainly have liquid lipsticks. They’re hydrating and last a long time which is rare since they’re matte. We also have the traditional bold lipsticks, and lip care products, lip liners, and lip exfoliator sticks which are awesome. We have a huge range of colours for all skin tones, and have recently expanded the line for all hair care items including hair oils. This fall, we will have a complete line full of foundations and illuminators so I’m very excited for that.
What’s your favorite KBB product?
My hair oils, definitely. I really love the oil formula for babies. My daughter is the perfect example of why I created it actually. She has curly hair that can get really dry, so the oils really work. It’s why I created the adult formula for myself.
What’s your ultimate beauty tip?
Moisturize, illuminate, and don’t let men stress you out!
What’s next for the brand?
Expanding into a full cosmetic line. We’re doing popup shops this year, and KBB will be hitting the road for meet & greets for some hands on interactions. We’re doing really cool projects and other events too so watch this space!
