Hairitage, a London boutique and Spell Magazine stockist focussing on providing advice and products for those with textured hair, has now started providing the same service for men who struggle to find the right products for their hair type.
According to Cosmetics Business, the male haircare industry is set to be worth over £1bn worldwide by 2020; however, there are many male consumers, especially those with textured hair who still use their partner’s or mother’s products, and struggle to find the right products of their own due to unhelpful marketing across the industry.
Having identified that male consumers are becoming more conscious of their grooming, but still need to be given the correct direction when it comes to their textured hair, Hairitage has launched this service to help men take better care of their hair: “We at Hairitage are here to help our men in teaching them that they too can purchase these products (which are marketed for women), and show them the correct methods of using the formulas.”
Launching in partnership with Barber Boyz, customers spent an evening receiving fresh new styles and haircare advice. Hairitage co-founder Jo Ferrage said, “From the event, it was clear that textured hair men also want to feel included and taught about their hair regime. Hence the amazing turnout.”
